The Autumn 2011 George Borrow Bulletin is now out (Series 2,
No. 3).
Members should have received their copy during November 2011.
The Bulletin contained reports of our wonderful weekend at Presteigne, Radnorshire which had taken place in September. As you can see from the contents (below) there’s another wide range of articles and interests covered. What can you know about George Borrow from his descriptions of how he fought people? David Chandler brought all sorts of things to light. Did you know Macaulay read George Borrow? Have you heard John Hentges reading some of Borrow’s translations? Colm Kerrigan has a review, and of course you can buy John’s CD’s for yourself: ideal for relaxing and letting someone else do the reading!
